step by step guide to wheel refurbishment

Your wheels arrive for refurbishment

The tyres are removed from the alloys and then both the tyres and alloys are tagged with individual identification numbers, ensuring that the correct tyres are refitted to the same alloys

The alloys are then placed in a chemical solution for full removal of existing paint and primers

The alloys are then inspected for any hidden damage like cracks and previous filler

We then carry out all repair work. For deep damage, we weld and then re-shape. For all light damage we use abrasive discs

The next stage is to move your alloys into our dry blast system to give them a light key

Once the wheels have been dry-blasted, they are then pre-heated (de-gassed)

Powder-coated primer is then applied

The alloys then return to the oven to cure

At this stage, colour is applied to the alloys and are then diamond cut if that was the original finish

The alloys are then lacquered with powder and returned to the oven for a final cure

Once the alloys have been cooled, we conduct a Bespoke Alloys quality control check

New valves and tyres are then fitted

The wheels are balanced

A final quality control check is carried out before wheels are ready for delivery or collection
